I’ve been providing career coaching to Chicago professionals since 1987. My career coaching services are designed to help clients identify career options and to assist them in career development. Career coaching clients have used my services to accomplish immediate goals such as promotions, downsizing, negotiating severance packages or to improve work/life balance. Some have used career coaching to address challenging interpersonal issues at work or to design exit strategies. Still others have decided to pursue advanced degrees, to create freelance businesses or to change careers.
Most of my career coaching clients are middle and upper level executives who work in high tech, financial services, law, health care, the arts, advertising, real estate, city and federal government or academia. They are employed in a wide range of organizational environments, from small entrepreneurial family businesses to large multi-national corporations. The majority are employed but hope to make changes in their work life that will bring them greater personal satisfaction. Typically my career coaching clients seek assistance with career change, specific career or work-related challenges, career advancement or entrepreneurial business development.
My approach to career coaching is organic, collaborative and results-oriented. I believe a person’s work impacts the way they live their life. My career coaching efforts are always directed towards helping people design careers that support their desired lifestyle.
As part of the career coaching process, I frequently provide professional writing and editorial services to my clients. I’ve helped clients write business proposals, fellowship applications, marketing brochures, web copy, targeted resumes, cover letters and graduate essays. My professional writing services are consultative and co-creative and are conducted via email, phone, fax or in person.
